Clean, fresh and racy a fine example of 'simple' Sauvignon. Not deeply complex, but just a good honest lip-smacking little number!

2008 MUSCADET SUR LIE, DOMAINE DU VERGER (Luneau-Papin)
There's some plain Muscadet...and then there's the real
stuff of elegance. Pierre Luneau-Papin is one of the
region's most respected producers. The Domaine du Verger is
flowery, with a bready/yeasty aroma & buttery palate.

it in price! Fresh and appealing unoaked Chardonnay! a pure
delight.
£23.75 | 13.5%
2008 CHABLIS (Jean-Marc Brocard)
Another Chardonnay - naturally enough, as it's Burgundian
and another without oak. Doesn't need it! Steely, mineral
texture. Clean as a whistle.

2007 CHABLIS 1er CRU 'LES LYS' (Domaine Daniel Dampt)
Daniel Dampt vinifies only the product of his own vineyards
and his 'Les Lys' possesses typical gunflint dryness, with
an underlying richness which comes from oak maturation.
"Chablis" has become something of an abused term
(see supermarket own labels!) but this is the real deal.
£34.50 | 13%
2006 MEURSAULT (Jaffelin)
Elegantly stylish butterscotch, beautifully integrated oak
character. A great example from a great village.
£45.50 | 13%
2007 PULIGNY MONTRACHET Vieielles Vignes (Vincent
Girardin)
Puligny (the village) attaches the name of Montrachet (it's
most famous vineyard) and from here comes some of the finest
Chardonnay in the world. Girardin's wine has a classic balance
of buttery richness & generous, slightly tropical, fruitiness.
